Production & Quality Coordinator
Location: 33 Plan Way, Warwick, RI 02886
Schedule: Full-Time (9:15 AM – 5:15 PM).
This includes a 30-minute lunch break from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM, and a 15-minute afternoon break at 3:00 PM.
Compensation: $17.00/hour to start, increasing to $18.00/hour next year.
About the Role
We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented team member to run our exit light testing station. Your main role as the Production & Quality Coordinator is very hands-on—you will be making sure our products work perfectly before they ship out to customers. You will also be needed in other roles besides your main role, so you will be helping the other stations.
The daily pace here is fast, so being comfortable sending messages online and keeping things moving is key. We will fully train the right person, so if you are eager to learn and comfortable using a computer, we want to hear from you!
What You'll Be Doing
- Testing the Lights (Main Role): Turn on and inspect our exit lights to make sure they work properly and look great before they are boxed up.
- Using Our Computer System (Other Roles): We use a program called Odoo. Don't worry if you've never used it before—we will teach you everything! You'll just use it to log your test results and keep track of the lights that are ready to go.
- Printing Labels: Print out the correct shipping and product labels and neatly stick them on the approved lights.
- Chatting with the Team: You will use Slack (a simple messaging app) to communicate with our New York office.
- Helping Other Stations: Jumping in to assist other areas of the production floor when your main testing station is caught up.
- Keeping Your Space Tidy: Keep your testing station organized, clean, and safe.
What We're Looking For
- Comfortable with a Fast Pace: You are able to work quickly and efficiently without letting little details slip through the cracks.
- Comfortable with Computers: You don't need to be a tech expert, just comfortable typing and willing to learn a new computer program with our help.
- Friendly Communicator: You are comfortable typing out quick, clear messages to coworkers to keep everyone on the same page.
- Attention to Detail: You have a good eye for catching little mistakes, like a light that won't turn on or a label that printed incorrectly.
- Independent Worker: Once you are trained, you are happy to manage your own station and keep the day moving.
- Physical Requirements: You are comfortable standing at a workstation and can occasionally lift a box up to 50 lbs (though this is rare).
Pay: $17.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
