We are seeking energetic and responsible Part Time-Non Medical Drivers to join our dynamic transportation team. Responsibilities
- Safely operate passenger vehicles such as wheelchair accessible vans & vehicles to transport clients on local routes
- Assist passengers with boarding and exiting vehicles, ensuring comfort and safety at all times
- Follow GPS navigation and route plans accurately to reach destinations efficiently
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform basic maintenance checks regularly
- Communicate effectively with clients, dispatchers, and team members to coordinate pickups and drop-offs
- Adhere strictly to all traffic regulations, state transportation laws, and safety protocols during every trip
- Handle heavy lifting when assisting clients with mobility aids
Skills
- Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and local driving routes
- Experience operating various types of passenger vehicles including wheelchair vans, and medical transportation vans
- Knowledge of traffic regulations, state transportation laws, and safety standards for commercial driving
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely and efficiently
- Experience in medical transportation or paratransit services is a plus
- Excellent driving record with a focus on safe driving practices
- Ability to manage time effectively and work independently in a part-time capacity
- Maintenance knowledge for basic vehicle upkeep and troubleshooting
