Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead and oversee all quality assurance and quality control activities for our manufacturing operations. This is a direct hire opportunity, meaning you will be hired directly by the employer from your first day. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree, a strong background in manufacturing quality systems, and experience working within ISO environments. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with customer requirements, industry standards, and regulatory expectations while driving continuous improvement throughout the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and perform in-process, first article, and final inspections to ensure product quality and compliance.
- Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, GD&T, customer specifications, and technical requirements.
- Prepare, review, and manage First Article Inspection (FAI) documentation and packages.
- Maintain and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with ISO standards.
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality control procedures, inspection criteria, and work instructions.
- Supervise and direct inspection and testing personnel to ensure effective quality control of materials, processes, and finished products.
- Manage nonconforming material reports (NCMRs), corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and root cause investigations.
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure the quality of purchased materials and outsourced processes.
- Plan and lead internal audits and support customer, supplier, and third-party registrar audits.
- Investigate customer quality concerns and implement effective corrective actions.
- Oversee calibration programs and tool control systems for gauges, pins, micrometers, calipers, and other inspection equipment.
- Develop and deliver quality training programs to improve employee knowledge and adherence to quality standards.
- Analyze quality metrics and identify opportunities for continuous improvement, cost reduction, and process optimization.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, customer requirements, and applicable regulatory standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 5 years of quality management and inspection experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong working knowledge of ISO and quality management systems.
- Proficient in reading engineering drawings and applying GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles.
- Experience using precision inspection equipment, including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, optical comparators, and coordinate measuring machines (CMMs), preferred.
- Strong leadership, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively across production, engineering, customers, and suppliers
Hours
Monday through Friday – 8am to 4:30pm
This is a salaried position $120K based on experience
