The Front Desk Agent is the first point of contact for guests and plays a key role in creating a welcoming and positive hotel experience. This position is responsible for guest check-ins and check-outs, handling reservations, answering inquiries, and providing excellent customer service while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and professionally upon arrival
- Perform check-in and check-out procedures efficiently
- Manage room reservations, cancellations, and modifications
- Answer phone calls, emails, and guest inquiries promptly
- Handle guest concerns or complaints and escalate when necessary
- Process payments, authorize credit cards, and balance cash drawers
- Maintain accurate guest records in the property management system
- Communicate effectively with housekeeping and maintenance teams
- Ensure lobby and front desk area remain clean and organized
- Follow hotel policies, safety procedures, and confidentiality standards
Qualifications & Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Previous customer service or hotel front desk experience (preferred)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with reservation systems (PMS experience a plus)
- Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced environment
- Professional appearance and positive attitude
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
