Job Summary

Duties
- Install new HVAC systems including air conditioning units, furnaces, boilers, and ventilation equipment in residential settings
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and HVAC design plans to ensure precise installation
- Troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems, including electrical diagnostics and equipment troubleshooting
- Perform routine maintenance on HVAC systems to optimize performance and extend lifespan
- Conduct plumbing and electrical connections necessary for system operation while ensuring compliance with safety regulations
- Use hand tools, welding equipment, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools to diagnose issues and repair mechanical systems
- Test refrigeration components and ammonia refrigeration systems when applicable to ensure proper functioning
- Communicate effectively with customers to explain system features, maintenance needs, and answer questions about their HVAC systems
Requirements
- Proven construction experience with a focus on HVAC system installation and repair
- Service technician experience in residential or commercial HVAC environments
- Strong understanding of schematics, HVAC design principles, electrical systems, building automation systems, and plumbing
- Mechanical knowledge related to HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration), boilers, and mechanical systems repair
- Ability to perform electrical diagnostics using tools such as ohmmeters; experience with electrical systems is essential
- Familiarity with refrigerants and refrigeration systems; EPA certification required for handling refrigerants
- Experience with equipment troubleshooting, maintenance procedures, welding techniques, and property maintenance tasks
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to operate a <PERSON> driver vehicle safely
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients
- Physical ability to lift heavy equipment, work at heights or in confined spaces as needed

Pay: $26.93 - $32.44 per hour
