Job Description
WYRK Fitness is hiring a part-time coach for our morning classes (held from 6 AM - 7 AM). More classes will be added to the schedule, making room to grow your schedule.
We're looking for a grounded, confident coach who can lead a room with clarity and care. This is an opportunity to help build a private personal training-based gym in Boise from the ground up.
WYRK is building a small group & personal training environment centered on support, accountability, community, inclusivity, and respect. We serve a wide variety of clients including beginners in fitness, members of the LGBTQ+ community, women, and people of all health backgrounds & identities. At WYRK, it is our top priority to make sure everyone feels welcome and able to come as they are. We coach small group fitness and personal/semi-private training, along with 24/7 open gym access outside of scheduled classes.
As a new gym, flexibility, communication, and shared values matter more than rigid systems.
Schedule Expectations
We are looking for a coach who can consistently cover our AM classes, held mon-fri (6 AM - 7 AM). Classes are paid at a flat rate.
We also have space and room on the schedule for a coach to do semi-private training (2-4 people). Sessions will be commission-based.
There may also be opportunities for:
- Later AM classes
- A mid-day class (around 12pm) based on member demand
- Two Saturday morning classes
- A Sunday morning class
The final schedule will be determined collaboratively based on availability, business needs and member demands.
Onboarding & Training
We anticipate approximately 10–20 hours of onboarding, depending on scheduling and readiness.
All coaches will receive structured onboarding, including:
- Class shadowing
- Programming education
- Training on WYRK’s coaching philosophy
- Mentorship and feedback
Coaches will not be required to lead independently until they are confident and aligned with our standards.

Responsibilities
- Coach scheduled group classes
- Deliver safe movement instruction and appropriate modifications
- Uphold WYRK’s class structure, tone, and safety standards
- Maintain an inclusive and respectful training environment
- Support a positive member experience
- Communicate availability clearly and promptly
- Receive and implement feedback
- Sanitize and organize workout areas after each session
- Arrive 15 minutes before class and remain after for clean-up and to connect with members
- Help stabilize class coverage as the gym grows
- Perform sales consultations
- Perform InBody biometric scans & reviews
- Create content 2x/mo. for the WYRK website, or social media (blog post, quick reel educating on movement/health topic)
Success in this role means:
Members feel safe, seen, and supported. Classes run smoothly and on time. Coaching consistently reflects WYRK’s values.

Growth will depend on business sustainability and mutual agreement during quarterly performance reviews. Communication about role changes will always be clear and timely.
Compensation for 1:1 & semi-private coaching will follow a separate percentage-based revenue structure. This model allows earning potential to exceed standard class pay based on session volume and demand. Details will be discussed prior to launch of those services.
Requirements
- Certified Personal Trainer from an NCCA-accredited organization (NASM, ACE, NSCA, ACSM, ISSA, NCSF, etc.)
- 2+ years coaching experience preferred (group and/or 1:1)
- Strong foundational knowledge of strength training
- Clear communication and professional presence
- Reliability and consistency
- CPR/AED certification
- Ability to lift 45+ lbs
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
- Background check required
