FOH (FRONT OF HOUSE) CHEF
Responsible for Maintaining Food Quality Standards
Key Responsibilities
- Report directly to Chef Supervisors
- Set up kitchen stations with all necessary cooking utensils and equipment, including knives, pans, and scales
- Review recipes and prepare all required ingredients before service
- Prepare, assemble, and serve food according to technical sheets and presentation standards
- Brief waitstaff daily on menu items, ingredients, and allergen information
- Ensure high-quality, visually appealing plate presentation
- Adapt service to meet guest needs and special requests
- Monitor food delivery and service flow within assigned service areas
- Ensure all food is maintained at the correct temperature throughout service
- Check food freshness regularly and discard expired or substandard items
- Maintain full compliance with food hygiene, HACCP procedures, and health & safety regulations in kitchen areas, food stations, and gueridon trolleys
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience as a chef, preferably in high-volume or high-standard environments
- Strong understanding of culinary principles, food preparation, and presentation practices
- Thorough knowledge of food hygiene, HACCP procedures, and health & safety regulations
- Clear English communication skills
- Professional, friendly, and courteous demeanor with guests and team members
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work effectively under deadlines and pressure
- Ability to complete assigned tasks independently
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods during service
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
