Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate LVN/RN Charge Nurse to lead our dedicated nursing team in providing exceptional patient care across diverse healthcare settings. Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate nursing staff to deliver high-quality patient care in accordance with facility policies and healthcare regulations.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history reviews, to inform care plans.
- Oversee medication administration, IV infusion procedures, and invasive treatments such as catheterization and tube feeding, ensuring accuracy and safety.
- Manage documentation using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems, maintaining precise medical records and compliance with HIPAA standards.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, therapists, and case managers to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Lead emergency response efforts, including airway management, ventilator support, acute pain management, and trauma care in Level I or Level II trauma center environments.
- Provide mentorship and training to nursing staff on topics such as infection control, ICD coding (International Classification of Diseases), wound care, and advanced life support techniques.
Skills
- Proven experience in critical care environments such as ICU, emergency room, or trauma centers with familiarity in Level I or Level II trauma protocols.
- Extensive knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and diagnostic evaluation methods.
- Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems like Cerner or Athenahealth for accurate documentation and patient tracking.
- Skilled in IV insertion, phlebotomy, medication administration including injections, and sterile technique practices.
- Strong leadership abilities with excellent communication skills to guide staff effectively during high-pressure situations.
- Ability to perform comprehensive patient assessments including vital signs, physical examinations, and intake evaluations.
- Experience working with diverse populations including individuals with developmental disabilities, dementia (Alzheimer’s care), memory care needs, pediatric patients (neonatal ventilator), or geriatric populations requiring specialized senior care.
