Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our Embassy Suites Denver Downtown Team! The ideal candidate will have a love for coffee and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. As a Barista, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality beverages, maintaining a clean and inviting café environment, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Your role will involve working with various coffee equipment and engaging with customers to create a welcoming atmosphere.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Operate cash registers and handle transactions accurately while providing excellent customer service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café, including workstations, dining areas, and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and handling regulations to maintain a safe environment for customers and staff.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service without compromising quality.
- Engage with customers, take orders, provide recommendations, and address any inquiries or concerns.
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of supplies and ingredients.
- Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment that promotes teamwork and efficiency.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a café or food service environment is preferred but not required.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clientele.
- Familiarity with cash registers and POS systems
- Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately.
- Knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations is beneficial.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing time efficiently.
- A passion for coffee culture and willingness to learn about different brewing techniques and menu offerings.
