Position Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented Construction Estimator with a strong background in analyzing project plans, preparing accurate cost estimates, and supporting our preconstruction and project management teams. The ideal candidate is highly organized, skilled at interpreting drawings and specifications, and comfortable communicating with subcontractors, vendors, architects, and clients.
Key Responsibilities
Review blueprints, specifications, and project documents to prepare detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates.
Solicit, evaluate, and negotiate pricing with subcontractors and suppliers.
Prepare comprehensive bid proposals, budgets, and cost breakdowns.
Work closely with project managers, engineers, and leadership during pre-construction.
Identify cost-saving opportunities and potential project risks.
Maintain updated knowledge of construction materials, costs, and industry trends.
Participate in bid meetings, project walkthroughs, and client presentations as needed.
Qualifications
3- 5+ years of proven experience as a Construction Estimator.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry practices.
Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, Sage).
Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
Effective communication, negotiation, and teamwork abilities.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
