Sterile Processing Technician – Travel Contract

Pay Rate: $1200 -$1350 weekly gross
Start Date: ASAP
Shift: Nights
Schedule: 8-hour shifts
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours/week
Shift Options: 10:30 PM–7:00 AM, 9:00 PM–5:30 AM, or 8:00 PM–4:30 AM
Responsibilities
- Perform sterile processing and decontamination of surgical instruments and equipment.
- Assemble, inspect, sterilize, and prepare surgical instrument trays.
- Demonstrate knowledge of orthopedic trays and vendor-specific instrument sets.
- Operate BELIMED washer/disinfectors and sterilizers.
- Operate STERIS low-temperature sterilizers.
- Ensure instruments and equipment meet established quality and sterilization standards.
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow hospital infection-control and safety procedures.
- Collaborate with surgical and perioperative teams to ensure instruments are available when needed.
Requirements
- Current CRCST certification required.
- Minimum 2 years of recent hospital sterile processing experience.
- Strong knowledge of orthopedic trays and vendor sets.
- Experience with BELIMED washer/disinfectors.
- Experience with sterilizers and STERIS low-temperature sterilizers.
- Previous travel experience required.
- Ability to work night shifts.
Pay: $1,200.00 - $1,350.00 per week
