Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Sandwich Maker to join our team in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and customer service, ensuring that each sandwich is crafted to perfection. This role requires a keen attention to detail, strong time management skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a team setting.
Duties
- Prepare and assemble sandwiches according to customer specifications and company standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to sanitation and food safety guidelines.
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems, including Aloha POS and Micros POS, for order processing and cash handling.
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, taking orders accurately, and upselling menu items.
- Assist with food preparation tasks, including chopping vegetables, slicing meats, and preparing sauces.
- Ensure all food items are stored properly and labeled according to safety regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Perform bussing duties as needed to maintain a clean dining area.
Skills
- Experience in food preparation within a quick-service or fast-food restaurant setting.
- Familiarity with Aloha POS or Micros POS systems is preferred but not required.
- Strong culinary skills with an understanding of food handling practices.
- Excellent time management abilities to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Proven sales skills with the ability to upsell menu items effectively.
- Proficient in basic math for cash handling and retail math calculations.
- Strong customer service orientation with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices in the kitchen environment.
