· Provide direct supervision of unlicensed assistive personnel and coordinate nursing care in compliance with all regulatory standards and facility policies and procedures.
· Assess resident care needs and take appropriate action
· Take appropriate action, provide administrative leadership in the absence of administrative staff
· Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse licensed in the state of Missouri
· Long term care experience preferred
· Nursing management experience preferred. Excellent supervisory and leadership skills
· Highly motivated, self-starter, able to make appropriate decisions during unexpected circumstance
· Knowledge or willingness to learn state and federal regulations and be able to apply.
. Follows established performance standards and perform duties according to policies and procedures.
. Presents an appropriate professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
. Administer and document direct resident care, medications and treatments per physicians’ orders and accurately record all care provided. Competently perform clinical nursing skills.
. Obtain report from nurse being relieved and record sufficient information to implement appropriate follow-up action as necessary. Provide report to nurse coming on duty.
. Perform and document comprehensive assessment of residents as needed.
. Notify Physician, DON, and responsible party when necessary, of changes in residents’ conditions, weight, medication errors, medication unavailability, abnormal lab/x-ray results and any other unusual observations. Take follow-up action as necessary.
. Document in resident progress notes as required per facility policy and procedures.
. Document daily notes on unstable residents and recently admitted residents per facility policy and procedures.
. Follow facility admission and/or discharge/transfer procedure and coordinate with other departments, physicians and ancillary service providers. Complete documentation related to the resident’s admission/discharge/transfer.
. Completes assignments and meets responsibilities appropriate to leadership position.
. Perform other related duties as directed by supervisor in a timely and professional manner.
. Complete monthly summary assignments accurately and timely.
Pay: $27.00 - $41.00 per hour
