About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Part-Time Paralegal or Juris Doctor (JD) to support a growing marketing and professional services company. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a mix of legal drafting, policy review, contract administration, and occasional litigation support.
The ideal candidate is proactive, comfortable working independently, and able to translate legal requirements into practical business solutions. This position offers flexible scheduling with work that is both varied and meaningful.
Responsibilities
- Draft and send contract default notices, breach notifications, demand letters, and other legal correspondence.
- Prepare and organize chargeback response packages and supporting documentation.
- Review client agreements and assist with contract interpretation.
- Consult with leadership regarding company policies, procedures, and legal risk.
- Research applicable laws and regulations affecting business operations.
- Assist with updating contracts, policies, terms and conditions, and internal documentation.
- Coordinate with outside counsel as needed.
- Prepare legal documents for court filings.
- Make courthouse filings and attend hearings or court appearances when necessary.
- Maintain organized legal records and documentation.
- Provide general legal support on operational and business matters as they arise.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) or Paralegal certification required.
- Previous experience in contract law, civil litigation, collections, business law, or commercial disputes preferred.
- Experience drafting legal correspondence and reviewing contracts.
- Familiarity with court filing procedures.
- Strong legal research and writing skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
- Comfortable working directly with executive leadership.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Florida legal experience required.
