Are you an experienced Acute Care NP or PA seeking a challenging and rewarding critical care practice? North Texas Critical Care (NTCC) is expanding and seeking exceptional Advanced Practice Providers to join our highly specialized team working autonomously to provide around-the-clock care in the Cardiovascular and Surgical ICUs at leading North Texas hospitals.
Our team manages some of the region's most complex surgical and critically ill patients, including those recovering from heart and lung transplantation, major cardiothoracic surgery, ECMO support, trauma, and complex surgical interventions.

Surgical ICU & Cardiovascular ICU
Physician Coverage
- 12-hours daily
- 12-hour nightly on-call
APP Coverage
- 24-hour onsite APP coverage

Qualifications Required
- Graduate of an accredited AGACNP or PA program
- Board-Certified Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP) or Physician Assistant
- Minimum two years of Critical Care, Trauma, Surgical Critical Care, and/or Cardiothoracic ICU experience
- Must have extensive knowledge of ICU management and critically ill surgical patients
- Ability to work autonomously within the Critical Care team
- Ability to work a 13-hour shift, rotating schedule of days, nights, weekends, and holidays (approximately 13 shifts per month)
- Active Texas license in good standing
- Active DEA registration
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications
Preferred
- Cardiothoracic ICU experience
- ECMO management experience
- Trauma ICU experience
- Transplant patient management experience
- Procedural proficiency in the critical care setting
