We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Certified Pharmacy Technician to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting pharmacists in providing high-quality patient care and medication management. Your expertise in medication administration, patient service, and medical terminology will be essential in ensuring the safe and effective delivery of pharmaceutical services in a hospital or clinical setting.
Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications, including inhalation therapies and critical care medications.
- Provide exceptional patient service by answering questions and addressing concerns regarding medications and treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate medication records and ensure compliance with all pharmacy regulations and standards.
- Utilize aseptic technique while compounding sterile preparations to ensure patient safety.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care outcomes through effective medication management.
- Conduct inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and storing pharmaceuticals as needed.
- Educate patients on proper medication administration techniques and potential side effects.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician in a hospital or clinical setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with medical terminology related to pharmacy practices is essential.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare team members.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
