Position Overview:
We are seeking skilled and compassionate Mental Health Counselors to work with clients ages 5 and up on a 1099 contract basis. This role is ideal for professionals who value autonomy, flexible scheduling, and the ability to shape their own caseload. As an independent contractor, you’ll provide meaningful therapeutic services to individuals and families navigating a wide range of needs, including but not limited to:
· Addictions and substance abuse
· Trauma and PTSD
· Family and parenting challenges
· Marital and relational concerns
· Emotional regulation and behavioral difficulties
· Suicide prevention and crisis intervention
The ideal candidate is a motivated, self-directed professional who can identify underlying issues, foster resilience, and guide clients toward meaningful solutions and personal growth.
Key Responsibilities:
· Deliver individual, child, couples, and family counseling using evidence-based approaches.
· Conduct assessments and develop personalized treatment plans.
· Maintain accurate, timely, and ethical clinical documentation.
· Create a safe, supportive, and inclusive therapeutic environment.
· Collaborate with colleagues, community partners, and referral sources to ensure continuity of care.
· Stay current with best practices, treatment modalities, and emerging trends in mental health.
Qualifications:
· Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field.
· Active Florida license (RMHCI, ISW, LMHC, LCSW, LMFT, or equivalent).
· Experience working with children and families is highly desirable.
· Specialized training in child therapy or trauma work is a plus (higher hourly rates available for specialization).
· Excellent communication skills (listening, verbal, and written).
· Compassionate, client-centered approach with a commitment to professional ethics.
· Must be eligible to work as an independent contractor (1099 status).
