DRENSYS (Goldenberg Technologies Inc.) is a Managed Services Provider (MSP) serving the Tri-State area. We support business technology including IT support, Cybersecurity, VoIP, Networking, CCTV/, Structured Cable, Application development, and more.
We’re hiring a Full-Charge Bookkeeper, HR & Office Manager to own day-to-day accounting operations, support core HR administration, and oversee office management. This is a full-time, on-site role at our Downtown Brooklyn office.
What You’ll Do
Accounting / Finance
- Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Handle collections and payment processing (ACH, credit card, check, wire)
- Maintain accurate records in QuickBooks Online (QBO) and reconcile accounts
- Prepare and file sales tax returns and support compliance reporting
- Support contract billing and overage billing using HaloPSA and internal tools (training provided)
- Generate financial reports for management (AR aging, cash flow, invoices, expenses)
- Work with external accountants/tax professionals for year-end reporting and filings
HR Administration
- Support employee onboarding/offboarding and maintain confidential personnel documentation
- Process with payroll through Gusto (reports, tracking, documentation)
- Manage 1099 contractor administration, including hours tracking, documentation, and pay support
- Help maintain and improve internal HR policies and procedures
Office Management
- Coordinate office cleaning and vendor schedules
- Keep office snacks, supplies, and consumables stocked
- Handle office maintenance requests and coordinate with building management as needed
- Support basic office operations so the team can stay productive
How You Work (Important)
- Strong time management; able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Comfortable using email + Slack correctly (clear writing, follow-ups, proper documentation)
- Able to maintain a calendar of critical due dates (tax filings, payroll cycles, month-end close, renewals, grant-related invoicing)
- Extremely detail-oriented: accuracy matters—numbers, dates, audit trails, and documentation must be correct
- Logical and resourceful—able to figure things out independently without constant step-by-step guidance
Tools You’ll Use
- QuickBooks Online (QBO) (required)
- HaloPSA (billing/contract workflows)
- Gusto (HR/payroll administration)
- Internal/in-house tools and vendor portals
Requirements
- 2+ years experience in bookkeeping, AR/AP, billing, and/or collections
- Strong proficiency with QBO and Excel/Google Sheets
- Basic understanding of IT terminology and comfort working in an MSP environment
- Professional communication skills (pleasant, firm, clear)
- Strong ownership and confidentiality handling
- Ability to apply tax and accounting rules to keep records clean, compliant, and optimized
Nice to Have
- Bookkeeping experience in an MSP / IT services / telecom business
- Familiarity with HaloPSA and/or PSA billing workflows
- Familiarity with Gusto
- Strong working knowledge of small business tax categorization and compliance practices
- Comfortable using AI tools to support productivity (summaries, drafting, organization) without relying on AI as a substitute for accounting judgment
- Fluency in other languages
