Registered Nurse (RN) - Travel Medicine
This isn't a traditional nursing role — and that's exactly the point.

We're looking for experienced RNs who are ready to step away from the pace and pressure of hospital nursing or traditional clinic environments and move into a role built around autonomy, specialized expertise, and meaningful one-on-one patient connections.

Most of our nurses work independently — no charge nurse, no team overhead, and no endless task lists. You manage your clinic day by providing expert travel health consultations, educating patients, and delivering high-quality care.
You will have support from a network of clinical leadership, but the day-to-day ownership of your clinic is yours.
Travel medicine is a specialty. You'll develop expertise in:
- Vaccine-preventable diseases
- International health risks
- Destination-specific travel recommendations
- Preventative health education
Every patient interaction is a true consultation — not a rushed, check-the-box encounter.

- Primary Clinic Location: Vancouver, WA
- Employment Type: Full-Time Position
- Compensation: starting at $48.00/hour w/ Potential Completion Bonus Available
Schedule Expectations:
- Monday–Friday schedule
- 32–40 hours per week
- Monthly Saturday coverage as part of clinic rotation

What You'll Do
- Conduct in-depth travel health consultations and educate clients on destination-specific health risks
- Administer vaccines per standing orders and monitor for adverse reactions
- Provide recommendations for travel health products and medications as clinically appropriate
- Manage clinic operations including inventory, documentation, and safety protocols
- Support occasional corporate wellness and vaccine clinic events
- Complete ongoing travel medicine training — we invest in developing your specialty expertise
Immigration Medical Services
Passport Health locations provide immigration medical services, including civil surgeon exams and required vaccinations for USCIS applicants.
Nurses supporting these services receive training and must be comfortable following detailed documentation and compliance requirements.
Scheduling - What You Can Expect
Passport Health uses a census-based scheduling model designed to balance patient demand with nurse availability.

Schedules are planned with long-term visibility whenever possible, allowing nurses to balance work and personal commitments while supporting patient demand.
Peak travel season (typically February–August) generally brings higher and more consistent volume.
What You Need to Succeed
- Active RN license in good standing
- Compact (multistate) RN licensure accepted — you must legally reside in the state where you are licensed and providing care
- 3+ years of clinical nursing experience (travel medicine experience is a plus, but not required)
- Comfortable working independently and managing your own clinic environment
- Strong patient communication and education skills
- Reliable access to a personal computer for required training systems
- Proficiency with Google Suite (Gmail, Drive, Docs, Meet)
- Current First Aid/CPR certification
- Ability to lift and transport vaccine inventory as needed (up to 25 lbs)
