Join our dynamic team as a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) A Truck Driver and take charge of transporting solid waste and other refuse in the Salinas Valley.
Duties
- Receive and inspect disposal loads for hazardous materials
- Operate refuse transfer trucks and heavy equipment
- Move, sort, compact, and load materials into trailers
- Ensure proper weight distribution and legal axle loads
- Conduct daily vehicle and equipment inspections
- Perform minor preventive maintenance and equipment cleaning
- Prepare basic reports and documentation
- Assist the public by answering questions and providing direction
- Support load checking, site clean-up, and material sorting/separation
- Complete other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Valid California Class A driver’s license
- Current California DMV driving record (submitted with application)
- Minimum one year of experience operating heavy equipment and driving trucks
- Ability to perform basic equipment maintenance
- Vocational and/or technical training preferred
- Must pass a field test demonstrating required skills and abilities
- Subject to DOT random drug and alcohol testing

Pay: $31.84 - $40.77 per hour
