Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements to ensure a smooth dining flow
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring all special requests are noted
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
- Provide detailed menu descriptions, recommend wine pairings or cocktails, and upsell items to enhance the guest experience
- Handle cash transactions accurately, process sales using POS systems, and manage billing efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and adhering to food safety protocols
- Foster positive guest relations through attentive service, addressing concerns promptly, and ensuring overall satisfaction
Experience
- Previous restaurant or food service experience is preferred, especially in fine dining environments or high-volume settings
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable is highly desirable
- Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktails, and food industry trends enhances your ability to upsell and serve confidently
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy hours while maintaining quality service
- Experience in food handling, sanitation practices, and basic math for cash handling and sales transactions
- Customer service background with excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor
- Prior host/hostess or serving experience is a plus for seamlessly managing guest flow
