Work Schedule
2nd Shift-2:30pm-10:30pm, Monday-Friday, with overtime and weekends based on company needs.
Position Summary
Ensure the smooth flow of materials both raw & finished on the production floor. Operate forklift in a safe and careful manner. Observe all GNS safety rules, regulations and established procedures, including those established for forklift operations.
- Operate a forklift (Hilo) to load, unload, and move materials within the production floor.

Operate overhead and/or mobile cranes to safely lift, position, and transport coils.

Prepare customer orders for shipment according to company specifications.

Load trucks and trailers while ensuring proper weight distribution and load security.

Perform daily inspections of forklifts, cranes, and other material handling equipment.

Complete shipping and receiving documentation accurately.

Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for damage or discrepancies.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Follow all workplace health and safety regulations, company policies, and operating procedures.

Assist with inventory counts and general warehouse duties as required.

Communicate effectively with warehouse staff, drivers, and supervisors to coordinate shipments.
- High school diploma or equivalent.

Valid forklift (Hilo) certification.

Crane operator certification or demonstrated crane operating experience. preferred.

Previous experience in shipping, warehousing, or manufacturing preferred.

Ability to safely handle heavy materials and equipment.

Knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures.

Basic computer skills for shipping documentation and inventory systems.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (23 kg) and work in a physically demanding environment.
- Experience with overhead cranes.

Knowledge of load rigging and safe lifting practices.

Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills.

Work Environments
Work performed in a shop environment and regularly exposed to dust, odors, oil, fumes and noise. GNS has established processes, procedures, and protective equipment to reduce or eliminate exposures to these hazards and full compliance is a requirement of the job. Requires working in non-air-conditioned variable temperature factory setting. Employees are exposed to extreme heat and/or cold and other workplace hazards. Noise level is the work environment is mostly loud. Employees may be subject to random drug and alcohol testing, pre-employment physical and background checks.
