Southern Arizona Veterinary Specialty and Emergency (SAVSEC) has open positions for Patient Care Assistants. If you are enthusiastic and outgoing and are dedicated to caring for pets in a medical setting, then we invite you to join our team. As a Patient Care Assistant, you will be responsible for providing daily care and support for animals in our facility, ensuring their well-being and comfort. You will work under the guidance and supervision of the doctor(s) and the Vet Techs on duty. Our staff promotes a friendly and professional environment where emphasis is placed on quality medical care, client education and teamwork.
Requirements:
Education Required/Preferred:

High school graduate or equivalent preferred.

Veterinary Assistant Certificate preferred.
Experience Required/Preferred:
-
One (1) year in veterinary hospital experience preferred

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment

Comfortable working with animals of all sizes and temperaments

Attention to detail and ability to multitask

Flexibility to work weekends and evenings as needed
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

Working knowledge of various office equipment (computer, fax, copier)

Ability to preform blood work on laboratory machines

Ability to work well with a team

Able to effectively handle stressful situations

Ability to maintain a positive work environment

Ability to preform daily job requirements and duties

Ability to assist with safe handling and restraint of animals

Assist with maintaining hospital stocking and cleanliness
Reports to Veterinary Technician Manager and Assistant Veterinary Technician Manager
