Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Specialist to join our dynamic warehouse team. Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and order pickers to load, unload, and transport goods within the warehouse.
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners to track inventory movements accurately.
- Prepare shipments by packing products securely, labeling packages correctly, and ensuring compliance with shipping standards.
- Manage stock levels through accurate stock replenishment, stocking procedures, and order picking using pick lists or MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies using AS400 or similar enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
- Use IMO and IATA for dangerous good shipments and label goods with the correct hazardous levels.
- Ensure timely order fulfillment by efficiently picking, packing, and preparing orders for dispatch.
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace to promote safety and operational efficiency in shipping & receiving areas.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in warehouse operations with familiarity in shipping & receiving processes.
- Valid forklift experience operating reach trucks and pallet jacks.
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, and ERP platforms.
- Strong understanding of order fulfillment procedures including picking & packing, inventory stocking, and load & unload activities.
- Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying shipments accurately.
- Proficient skills in Microsoft Office, email communication and Excel
- Experience working in e-commerce environments or warehouse distribution centers preferred.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy items safely, and work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
