Position Summary:
Early Childhood Academy (ECA) is seeking a dedicated and caring Teacher to support children's learning and development in our early childhood program. This role is ideal for an educator who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and is passionate about creating engaging, developmentally appropriate learning experiences for young children.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead daily classroom activities and routines while creating a positive, engaging learning environment
- Plan and implement curriculum aligned with early childhood best practices
- Foster a nurturing, inclusive, and stimulating environment where children can learn and grow
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers
- Maintain open, professional communication with families regarding children's development and classroom activities
- Observe and assess children's progress, documenting developmental milestones as appropriate
- Ensure compliance with all Minnesota licensing, health, and safety regulations
- Maintain a safe, supportive, and consistent learning environment each day
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and leadership to support the success of the program
Qualifications:
- Meets Minnesota Rule 3 teacher qualifications through qualifying college coursework, a CDA, or another approved pathway
- Previous experience in an early childhood setting preferred
- Strong understanding of child development and developmentally appropriate practices
- Excellent communication, organizational, and classroom management skills
- Ability to work collaboratively and adapt in a dynamic environment
- Passion for providing high-quality care and education
