Responsibilities
- Thoroughly wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans in accordance with health and safety standards
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including basic chopping or ingredient setup under supervision
- Support catering and banquet events by ensuring all serving ware is clean and ready for service
- Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area, including sinks, counters, and storage spaces
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of clean items for food service operations
- Follow proper food handling procedures to prevent contamination and ensure hygiene compliance
- Help with general cleaning duties throughout the kitchen to uphold a safe and sanitary environment
Experience
- Previous restaurant or food service experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key
- Familiarity with basic kitchen operations such as bussing tables or assisting in food prep is a plus
- Experience in banquet settings or catering environments can be advantageous
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks efficiently
