Twin Ports Children Services (TPCS) is seeking compassionate, dependable, and motivated Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join our team. TPCS is a Minnesota 245D licensed provider of corporate foster care services for children and adolescents with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, mental health diagnoses, and complex behavioral support needs.

Position Responsibilities
As a Direct Support Professional, you will:
- Provide direct care and supervision in accordance with each individual's Person-Centered Support Plan and Positive Support strategies.
- Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, hygiene, toileting, eating, and mobility as needed.
- Support individuals in developing daily living skills, communication, emotional regulation, social skills, and community integration.
- Administer medications after successful completion of required Minnesota medication administration training and company competency requirements.
- Observe, document, and report changes in behavior, medical concerns, injuries, illnesses, or other significant events.
- Complete accurate daily documentation, progress notes, medication records, and incident reports in accordance with Minnesota 245D requirements and company policies.
- Prepare meals and snacks while following dietary restrictions and nutritional guidelines.
- Perform household responsibilities including cleaning, laundry, organizing, and maintaining a safe, sanitary living environment.
- Transport individuals to school, appointments, recreational activities, community outings, and other scheduled events.
- Utilize positive behavior support techniques, de-escalation strategies, and approved interventions while maintaining the dignity and safety of each individual.
- Communicate professionally with supervisors, coworkers, families, healthcare providers, and other members of the support team.
- Participate in required trainings and maintain all certifications required by Minnesota DHS and Twin Ports Children Services.
Qualifications
Preferred qualifications include:
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least 18 years of age.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to pass all Minnesota DHS background study requirements.
- Ability to complete required 245D orientation and ongoing training.
- Previous experience working with children, individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, mental illness, or behavioral support needs is preferred but not required.
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred (training may be provided).
- Strong communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to remain calm, patient, and professional during challenging situations.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift, transfer, push, or assist individuals as needed.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and remain active throughout the shift.
- Ability to respond quickly during behavioral or medical emergencies.

Pay: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour
