The Project:
Mace, as part of MPA delivery partner joint venture of Mace-Parsons-Arcadis, have been selected as the Gateway Development Commissions partners of choice to support the GDC across the Gateway Program in New York, inclusive of the Hudson Tunnel Project.
The busiest rail connection between New York, New Jersey, and the Northeast Corridor, the Hudson Tunnel Project will improve capacity, reliability, and resiliency of commuter and intercity rail transit serving 800,000 daily passengers from Washington, D.C. to New York and New England. A milestone project supported by the bipartisan Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA), the project is slated to receive nearly $12 billion in federal funding, the largest investment in a mass transit project in modern history.

You’ll Be Responsible For:
Manage the installation and integration of critical rail and transit systems, including track, signals, traction power, and communication networks within the tunnel.
Coordinate with contractors to ensure systems align with technical specifications, project schedules, and budget constraints.
Support comprehensive testing and commissioning for all installed systems, ensuring they meet operational standards and safety protocols.
Monitor and verify that all aspects of the project adhere to NFPA-130 standards for fire protection and life safety, including emergency ventilation and fire suppression systems.
Act as the primary liaison for safety protocols, coordinating with stakeholders to review safety plans, assess risk factors, and prepare contingency measures for emergencies.
Delivers continuous improvements in processes through application of best practices and lessons learned. Drives transformational change.
Manages, influences & negotiates with key senior stakeholders (c-suite & board) on matters of strategic importance.
You’ll need to have:
15+ years of experience in rail, transit, system, track, signals, traction power, installation, testing, and commissioning.
Extensive experience with rail transit systems on tunnel projects.
Proficiency in NFPA-130 standards and fire-protection and life-safety requirements for transit systems.
Proven ability to manage large-scale projects, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, schedules, and budgets.
Capability to function at a program-level technical chief role, providing expertise on track alignment, power distribution, and systems integration.
Note: The estimated starting salary for this position is $250k. Starting salary may vary based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, skills and qualifications.
