The Press Associate is responsible for safely receiving, inspecting, and handling stamped parts as they exit the press. This role is critical to ensure parts meet quality standards and are properly processed to support continuous production and on-time delivery to internal and external customers.
Support (ATA) efforts to promote Corporate Social Responsibility, (CSR) and ensure activities are carried out in cooperation with G-TEKT CSR, and Corporate Governance initiatives and activities to ensure compliance in functional areas of responsibility. Support the Corporate Governance Policy of Austin Tri-Hawk Automotive and the Objectives of:

Compare part accuracy by measuring part on check fixture, verifying part characteristics.

Compare quality of part to visual controls, Master sample and Check fixture.
Math

Ensure parts are produced in schedule quantity by counting and tracking number of parts produced. Use production quantity and amount of time to produce parts, to calculate production efficiency
- Ensure personal safety by complying with all safety procedures.

Support press operators and team lead to maintain steady production flow
- Respond quickly to issues that could impact downstream processes or customers
- Communicate clearly during shift changes and when issues arise

Support ISO-9001 requirements.

Catch, stack, or place stamped parts from press operations in a safe and efficient manner
- Visual and tactile inspection of parts identify defects (cracks, splits, dents, incomplete forms, etc.)

Follow standardized work instructions for part handling, stacking, and packaging
- Maintain proper part orientation and prevent damage during handling and transfer
- Remove scrap or defective parts and notify the Team Lead or Quality as needed
- Keep work area clean and organized in accordance with 5S standards
- Support continuous production flow by working at required production pace
- Assist with material handling, including moving finished parts to designated areas
- Communicate issues impacting safety, quality, or production immediately
Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of PPE

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

Stand for long periods (8–12 hours)
- Ability to lift, carry, and stack parts (weight varies by product, often 10-40lbs)
- Lift up to 25–50 lbs. regularly
- Perform repetitive movements (bending, reaching, lifting)

Automotive production facility with robotic automation
- Exposure to noise, machinery, and industrial conditions
- PPE required (safety glasses, gloves, steel-toe boots)
