Job Title: Heavy Equipment & Fleet Mechanic (Senior / Lead Level)
Job Description
Are you a mechanic who thrives on the scale of massive yellow iron and heavy-duty commercial fleets? If your idea of a good day involves diagnosing a complex hydraulic issue on a 30-ton excavator, tearing down a cone crusher, or troubleshooting a mixer truck's electrical system, we want you on our team.
We are not looking for an automotive mechanic, a small engine hobbyist, or an oil-change technician. We are seeking a seasoned, battle-tested Heavy Equipment Mechanic who can hit the ground running with zero hand-holding.
What You Will Do
- Heavy Fleet Maintenance: Diagnose, repair, and maintain our heavy-duty truck fleet, including dump trucks, concrete mixer trucks, and pump trucks.
- Dirt & Mining Equipment: Keep our heavy yellow iron running at peak performance, including excavators, bulldozers, and wheel loaders.
- Aggregate Plant Machinery: Maintain, troubleshoot, and rebuild heavy mining equipment, specifically cone crushers, jaw crushers, and screening plants.
- Systems Expertise: Perform advanced diagnostics and repairs on complex hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and diesel engine systems.
- Safety & Efficiency: Perform emergency field repairs safely and efficiently to minimize project downtime.
Position Requirements (The Non-Negotiables)
Please Note: This is an advanced role. Entry-level candidates or those with unrelated experience (e.g., passenger cars, light trucks, or small engines) will not be considered.
- Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of dedicated, professional experience working strictly on heavy equipment and heavy-duty trucks.
- Aggregate Experience: Direct, hands-on experience maintaining and repairing aggregate equipment (crushers and screens) is highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Mastery of diesel engine diagnostics, advanced hydraulics, schematics, and heavy powertrain components.
- Physical Ability: Ability to work in rugged environments (quarries, construction sites, shop), lift heavy components, and handle the physical demands of large-scale machinery repair.
