Underground Plumber – Manufactured Housing Communities
Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Underground Plumber to maintain and repair critical utility infrastructure. You will work on underground water distribution and drainage systems within manufactured home communities. This role focuses on system reliability, preventative maintenance, and rapid emergency response.
Key Responsibilities
- System Maintenance: Inspect and service underground water mains and community drainage networks.
- Leak Repair: Locate and fix underground water line breaks and cracked sewer pipes.
- Infrastructure Tapping: Install new water service lines and riser connections to home sites.
- Clogged Lines: Clear major blockages in main sewer laterals using professional equipment.
- Equipment Operation: Use excavators, trenchers, and pipe-locating tools safely.
- Winterization: Maintain and repair heat tapes and insulation on exposed underground risers.
- Compliance: Ensure all repairs meet local plumbing codes and environmental regulations.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: Minimum 2–3 years in underground utility plumbing or commercial pipefitting.
- Specialized Knowledge: Deep understanding of PVC, HDPE, copper, and galvanized piping systems.
- Technical Skills: Proficient with trenching equipment, diagnostic cameras, and line locators.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in tight trenches or varied weather.
- Licensing: Valid driver’s license required
Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
