We are a busy collision repair center looking for a dependable Car Washer & Shop Assistant to help us put the finishing touches on our repair work.
Before a customer gets their car back, it needs to look spotless. Your main job will be washing the exterior and thoroughly cleaning out the inevitable dust and debris left behind by the repair process. When you aren't cleaning cars, you will be the backbone of the shop helping keep our workspace clean, safe, and organized.
Key Responsibilities
Vehicle Cleanup:
- Dust & Debris Removal: Thoroughly vacuuming interiors and wiping down surfaces to completely remove body shop dust, sanding residue, and glass particles.
- Exterior Wash: Hand-washing and drying vehicles after repairs are completed, ensuring all compound residue and fingerprints are gone.
- Final Check: Cleaning interior and exterior glass, tires, and rims so the car is retail-ready for delivery.
Shop Operations & Maintenance:
- Waste Management: Regularly emptying shop trash cans and pulling down large cardboard boxes.
- Shop Cleanliness: Sweeping repair bays, and keeping walkways clear of debris and hazards.
- General Support: Helping move vehicles around the lot, putting away supply deliveries, and assisting technicians with basic shop tasks as needed.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: None required! We will train anyone who has a strong work ethic and an eye for cleanliness.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, bend, lift heavy objects (like tires or trash bins), and work in a fast-paced shop environment.
- Team Mindset: A "no task is too small" attitude. You are someone who jumps in to help wherever the shop needs it most.
- Reliability: Dependable transportation and consistent, on-time attendance are absolute musts.
