NfPosition Summary
Crossover Outreach is seeking a passionate, strategic, and experienced Development Officer to lead fundraising efforts, strengthen donor relationships, and grow the organization's impact. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative nonprofit environment and wants to make a tangible impact in the lives of families and children in our community. The job position may be part time or full time, depending on the need. Salary will be commensurate with the level of experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute fundraising strategies, including giving, major gifts, corporate sponsorships, grants and events.
- Manage donor database, ensuring accurate recording of all gifts and contributions and generating reports.
- Oversee gift processing, including timely deposits, acknowledgements, and donor correspondence.
- Prepare and send personalized thank-you letters for all gifts, ensuring donors feel valued and appreciated.
- Send notifications of tribute gifts, including informing honorees of gifts made in their honor and families of loved ones remembered through memorial giving.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with donors, sponsors, and partners.
- Research, write, and submit grant proposals and reports.
- Plan and coordinate fundraising events, ensuring alignment with Crossover's mission and values.
- Collaborate with staff and board members to advance development goals.
- Support marketing and communications efforts related to fundraising and donor engagement.
Qualifications
Required:
- Passion for Crossover Outreach's mission and collaborative leadership style.
- Strong organizational, planning, and project management abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an outgoing, relationship-focused approach to engaging donors, partners, and the community.
Preferred:
- Experience in nonprofit development, fundraising, or related fields.
- Demonstrated success in donor cultivation, grant writing, and fundraising campaigns.
- Experience with fundraising software and databases.
- Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and take initiative.
Work with the Board of Directors
- Preparing written reports for presentation at monthly board meetings. Each report will contain the funds raised for that month, in comparison with the year before, along with any projects/activities that occurred that month.
- Attending and participating in all board meetings and appropriate committee meetings.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
