Excavator / Long-Reach Excavator Operator
Brighton, Colorado
$28–$36 an hour, based on experience

If you know your way around an excavator—and especially a long-reach excavator—we’d like to hear from you.
We’re looking for a solid operator to help with canal, reservoir, and water-infrastructure work around Brighton. You’ll be doing real field work: digging, loading, grading, ditch and canal maintenance, and helping keep equipment and job sites in good shape.
This is outdoor work, and during the busy season you should be ready to work around 50 hours a week. Work is based in Brighton, so reliable transportation is required.
What you’ll be doing
- Running excavators, including long-reach excavators
- Canal maintenance, dredging, earthmoving, grading, trenching, and loading
- Checking your machine each day and handling basic upkeep
- Working safely around water, uneven ground, slopes, utilities, and other equipment
- Pitching in with the crew wherever needed
What we need from you
- Real excavator operating experience
- Long-reach excavator experience is a big plus
- Someone who works safely, shows up, and takes care of equipment
- Comfortable working outside in different weather and terrain
- Valid driver’s license; CDL is a plus
- Background in excavation, utilities, drainage, irrigation, construction, mining, or heavy civil work is helpful
