Job Summary
EDU-AIDs is seeking a dedicated and passionate Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment that meets the diverse needs of students with disabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement occupational therapy treatment plans developed by the supervising Occupational Therapist.
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students individually or in small groups.
- Assist students in developing fine motor, sensory, visual-motor, self-care, and functional skills necessary for academic success.
- Collaborate closely with the supervising Occupational Therapist, teachers, and child study team.
- Monitor and document student progress, reporting outcomes to the supervising Occupational Therapist.
- Maintain accurate records of therapy sessions, student performance, and IEP compliance.
- Promote a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Qualifications
- Associate's degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
- Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) certification.
- Experience working with students with disabilities in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with staff, parents, and community members.
