SUMMARY
Coordinates the activities and functions of designated programs. Analyzes, evaluates and ensures that the goals and objectives for the program are accomplished according to established priorities, time and funding limitations or other specifications.
The Program Coordinator for Social Emotional Learning serves as a trusted liaison between the Tucson Unified School District, the community, health, and social service systems. This position will supervise, manage, and implement the strategic program plans for the district Community Health Worker model. The Program Coordinator is responsible for collaborating with internal and external partners to increase community awareness, self-sufficiency, and access to services and other resources among diverse populations.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s Degree AND
-
Two years of experience administering or coordinating programs.
OR -
Associate’s Degree AND
-
Four years of experience administering or coordinating programs.
OR -
Six years of progressive experience administering or coordinating programs.

Knowledge and ability to use word processing, database, and spreadsheet programs.
-
One year of supervisory experience.
-
Knowledge of federal and state legislative requirements related to specific program.
-
Some positions within this classification may require some type of certification.
-
Verbal & written communication skills in English and a demonstrated ability to read and comprehend written/graphic and oral instructions.
REQUIREMENTS PRIOR TO START DATE

FBI fingerprint background check
Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Master’s Degree.

Two or more years experience participating in community groups and involvement with community resources or services.

Knowledge of Trauma-Informed practices.
-
One or more years experience or training in Substance Misuse and Abuse Programs.
-
Experience working in school settings.
-
Bilingual English and Spanish.

Effective: 2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR
Location: TUSD District Office - 220 W 6th
Classification: Non-Bargaining
FTE : 1.0 - 8 hours per day
Work Calendar: 12 month
Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits.
Salary will be prorated if the start date is after the first day of the work calendar for the position.
