About Hubsups
Hubsups is the first commercial-scale procurement marketplace built for the hospitality industry — connecting verified vendors with vetted buyers across hotels, restaurants, senior living, healthcare, and commercial spaces. Every year, thousands of hospitality properties are built or renovated, and behind each one is a massive furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E) procurement effort. Hubsups removes the friction that has historically kept great vendors and qualified buyers from finding each other, giving vendors verified demand and reliable payment, and giving buyers accountability built into every transaction.
We are building our founding vendor community, and this role is central to that mission. Hubsups is operated by JM Hospitality Solutions (JMHS), a hospitality procurement and interior design firm specializing in FF&E sourcing, vendor management, and hotel renovation projects.
The Role
We are looking for a seasoned Senior Business Development Manager to drive the growth of our marketplace by opening doors to the vendors we most want on the platform. This is a relationship-driven role for someone who already knows the hospitality industry from the inside — a well-connected professional who can pick up the phone, leverage long-standing relationships, and get the right vendors to the table.
Your core mission is to identify and engage high-value vendors, build early trust with their decision-makers, and set up qualified meetings for Hubsups leadership — who lead the pitch and bring those vendors onto the platform. You will be the face of Hubsups across the hospitality community: representing us at industry trade shows and association events, and using your network and credibility to accelerate our vendor pipeline. This is a high-impact, foundational role with a clear path to expand — as the marketplace scales, you will also help target and open doors on the buyer side.
What You'll Do
- Leverage your network — tap your existing relationships across the hospitality industry to identify, reach, and engage high-value vendors that fit our marketplace criteria.
- Represent Hubsups in the field — attend and work industry trade shows, conventions, and association events (such as AAHOA and AHLA gatherings) to source vendors and build the Hubsups brand within the community.
- Target strategically — prioritize vendors by category, fit, and revenue potential, focusing your outreach where it moves the marketplace forward fastest.
- Open doors and build trust — run confident, senior-level early conversations with owners and decision-makers, establishing credibility and interest before handing off.
- Book qualified meetings — secure and schedule high-quality meetings between prospective vendors and Hubsups leadership, who lead the pitch and close.
- Prepare leadership to win — brief leadership with deep context on each vendor — their business, priorities, and relationship history — so meetings convert.
- Manage the pipeline — keep prospect and outreach activity accurate and current in our CRM and project tools, and report on pipeline health and results.
- Expand to the buyer side (future) — as the role grows, apply the same relationship-driven approach to identifying and opening doors with prospective buyers.
What Success Looks Like
Success in this role is measured first and foremost by the number of qualified vendor meetings booked for leadership on a weekly and monthly basis — with an emphasis on high-value, well-qualified vendors reached through your relationships and industry presence. Vendor onboardings are the downstream outcome we are all driving toward; your consistent, high-caliber meeting generation is the leading indicator that makes those onboardings possible.
What We're Looking For
- 8+ years of sales or business development experience selling into the hospitality industry — hotels, restaurants, senior living, or related commercial hospitality segments.
- Active involvement in hospitality trade organizations such as AAHOA and AHLA — a recognized, engaged presence in the industry community.
- An established network of relationships with hospitality owners, operators, and vendor decision-makers that you can activate from day one.
- A proven track record of building relationships and generating qualified pipeline or new business.
- Excellent written and verbal communication — you can earn the trust of a seasoned operator or business owner in the first conversation.
- Self-directed and highly organized, with the discipline to manage your own pipeline and follow-up cadence at a senior level.
- Comfortable working across modern CRM and sales productivity tools.
- Willing and able to travel regularly for trade shows, industry events, and vendor or buyer meetings.
Nice to Have
- Direct experience in FF&E, OS&E, procurement, interior design, or hospitality supply.
- Existing relationships with hospitality vendors, manufacturers, or suppliers.
- Experience representing a company at industry trade shows, booths, or association events, or speaking at industry gatherings.
- Experience with CRM and prospecting tools such as Monday.com, Clay, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, or similar platforms.
