Job Summary
Armed Security Officers will provide security services at municipal, commercial, and government-related facilities . Officers will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment through patrols, access control, surveillance, incident response, and customer service. Similar area armed security positions emphasize patrols, access control, incident reporting, alarm response, and maintaining a visible security presence.

Responsibilities
- Conduct interior and exterior patrols
- Monitor access points and verify credentials
- Enforce client policies and procedures
- Respond to alarms, emergencies, and disturbances
- Complete detailed incident and activity reports
- Investigate suspicious persons, vehicles, and activities
- Maintain visitor and contractor logs
- Provide exceptional customer service to employees, visitors, and the public
- Assist law enforcement, fire, and EMS personnel when necessary
- Maintain situational awareness and a professional appearance at all times
Minimum Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Driver's License with reliable transportation
- Valid Virginia DCJS Armed Security Officer Registration
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Military, Law Enforcement, Corrections, or Security Experience
- Prior Armed Security Experience
- CPR/First Aid Certification
- Experience working in municipal, government, healthcare, or critical infrastructure environments
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to climb stairs and conduct foot patrols
- Ability to respond quickly during emergency situations
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions

Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour
