Full-time position in Point Pleasant Beach, NJ transportation company hiring for operational duties including dispatching driver fleet, carrier relations, planning and customer service. Qualified candidates will be self-starters who are exceptionally organized, process driven, responsible and can operate well in a fast-paced office environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Daily driver dispatch - manage driver fleet across regional and long-haul operations assigned by load planners, while ensuring compliance with DOT & HAZMAT regulations.
- Customer Communication & Service - serve as primary point of contact for load updates, scheduling changes, and real-time problem resolution
- Operational Monitoring - track driver hours of service, anticipate delays, and proactively adjust plans to maintain service obligations
- Cross departmental collaboration - work closely with planning, maintenance, safety, and accounting teams for full service support
Additional requirements include:
- Knowledge of/experience in liquid bulk transportation environment.
- Familiarity with ELDs and HOS regulations
- Strong computer skills, experience with MS Office & Outlook.
- Capable of multi-tasking, highly organized and possess excellent time management skills.
- High attention to detail with excellent follow-up practices.
- Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize, organize and execute decisions while shifting priorities throughout the day
- Self starter mentality
