The Accounting Manager plays a key role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of the Resort’s financial operations. This position oversees daily financial reporting activities, manages cash and account reconciliations, supports compliance and audit processes, and serves as a trusted resource for accounting and operational leaders across the organization.
Success in this role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to continuous improvement. The Accounting Manager partners with internal teams and external stakeholders to provide accurate financial information while helping drive operational excellence.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES including the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Provide backup support for Accounts Payable functions, including invoice processing, reconciliations, and workflow management in partnership with the Staff Accountant/AP Clerk.
Partner with operational departments to maintain General Ledger mappings and tax configurations within Point-of-Sale systems, ensuring accuracy during product, pricing, and operational updates.
Support month-end and year-end close activities, including reconciliations, journal entries, financial analysis, and audit preparation.
Assist with external audits, tax reporting requirements, regulatory reviews, and other compliance-related initiatives by providing accurate financial information and supporting documentation.

This position oversees two (2) employees in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
Due to the nature of the recreation industry, we are in operation seven days a week. This includes weekends and holidays and there is no guarantee of hours. Flexible working hours may be required based on the business levels.

Ability to apply mathematical concepts in practical operations such as; statistical analysis and creating spreadsheets.

Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, members of management, and other employees of the organization. Excellent verbal communication skills.
Ability to identify issues, analyze data, evaluate alternatives, and develop practical solutions. Strong critical-thinking skills with the ability to interpret technical information, exercise sound judgment, and make informed recommendations.
