What makes us different
- No prior experience required! We are committed to fostering the growth and development of EMTs at all levels of experience whether new to EMS or well versed within the industry.
- Individualized Field Training: Over the course of four days an FTO will review protocols and skills while teaching EMTs how to use equipment and navigate the prehospital setting in San Diego County. These days are followed by partnership on a crew with an FTO, Field Supervisor, and/or experienced EMT to allow new hires to continue to build confidence in their own individual abilities.
- We are here for you. All Supervisors are easily accessible, at the station and in the field, and encourage open communication.
- Experience. High standards have led to high call volume with many calls being transported to the ER. By running dual EMT units, you are the one running these calls. Acting within county protocols, you will do your own assessments and treatments. You will get experience doing radio reports, turnovers, and patient care reports.
