CERTIFIED DENTAL ASSISTANT
We are hiring a part-time Certified Dental Assistant to support our compassionate, patient focused team for our West Seneca Family Dental Office. This position may lead to a Full-Time opportunity.
The Certified Dental Assistant will deliver high-quality chairside support, maintain clinical readiness, and ensure a seamless, welcoming experieince for every patient. Ideal candidates are detailed, organized, caring individuals with initiative, the ability to multi-task, willingness to learn new skills, portay a positive attitude, and have a passion for caring for others. Candidate must be dependable, punctual, professional in appearance, and committed to efficient, organized workflows.
Schedule
- Wednesdays and Thursdays 7:30am-5pm.
- Opportunity to work Mondays 7am-5pm, Tuesdays 7:30am-5pm and Fridays 7:30am-2pm on an as needed basis.
- Location: West Seneca Dental Office. *Flexibility to work in our Orchard Park Village Dental Office a plus.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Seat patients, confirm/update demographics and medical/dental history, and prepare operatories.
- Provide four-handed dentistry and chairside assistance with excellent knowledge of dental terminology and instrumentation.
- Process digital radiographs, and take intraoral photos as required.
- Anticipate provider and patient needs and manage efficient patient flow; explain treatment plans and post-op instructions.
- Monitor clinical supplies, track inventory, and place/receive orders; manage lab cases and courier pickups.
- Coordinate scheduling, confirmations, and follow-ups; assist with front-desk tasks as needed.
- Document treatment, materials, and notes accurately in the electronic health record.
- Uphold HIPAA compliance, patient privacy, and a friendly professional patient experience.
- Support quality improvement, continuing education, team huddles and monthly team meetings.
Qualifications/Experience
- Current certification/registration as a Certified Dental Assistant in good standing.
- 2+ years of chairside assisting experience preferred; new candidiates with strong fundamental skills considered.
- Proficiency in four-handed dentistry, digital radiography, instrumentation, sterilization protocols, and basic lab procedures.
- Strong communication and patient education skills; warm, caring demeanor with a positive attitude.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task in a fast-paced, team-based environment.
- Dependable, punctual, and professional in appearance; must have dependable transportation.
- Familiarity with dental electronic health records, and comfortable with scheduling and patient coordination.
- CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain promptly.
