Our key client in the Oil and Gas industry is growing like crazy and adding to their team. We have a Senior Expeditor role on the team.
Pay Rate: $39.17/hour on W2
Work Type: Onsite - Houston, TX 77002
Duration: 2-year contract (with possible extension and conversion)
Job Overview:
- The Senior Expeditor will oversee and coordinate the progress of suppliers and sub-suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment for complex, engineered items.
- This role requires deep knowledge of manufacturing or assembly processes for procured materials and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Obtain the supplier’s planned schedule and monitor actual progress and key milestones.
- Update and distribute the Material Status Report (MSR) periodically to the business unit client.
- Monitor sub-supplier progress when required for milestone payment purposes.
- Verify material Required On Site (ROS) dates with the business unit client.
- Confirm supplier’s Ready to Ship (RTS) date and update the MSR accordingly.
- Compare ROS and RTS dates with transportation timelines to ensure schedule alignment.
- Address unforeseen changes and impacts from both supplier and client perspectives.
- Obtain recovery plans from suppliers for potential late deliveries and facilitate stakeholder meetings to resolve issues.
- Coordinate with the Freight Team to develop transportation plans and communicate delivery details, including freight provider and unloading equipment requirements.
- Ensure all materials are properly received and that Material Receiving Reports (MRR) are issued without any overage, shortage, or damage (OS&D).
- Collaborate with suppliers and receiving personnel to resolve any OS&D issues.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree is required.
- 6–10 years of experience (minimum 6 years required)
