Responsible for providing home services with full adherence to the limitations established by law for a home service workers. Home Service duties will vary per client. Client care plan will be created and monitored by the Nurse Manager for the case.
Pay range: $17.50 - $18.50 per hour depending on CNA certification

The following list of duties which fall within the skilled home service worker scope of services.

Assist with and may perform activities of daily living.
-
Personal care including bathing, non-prescription lotion application, dressing, toileting, hair care, non- prescription elastic stocking application and shaving with electric razor only.

Assist with household chores, including cooking, meal preparation, light cleaning and laundry.
-
Assist in completing activities such as shopping and appointments outside of the home.
-
Assist with meals and feeding of the client as long as the client can swallow independently and be positioned upright.

Oral hygiene care.
-
Medication reminders.
-
Encouragement to do home exercise program established by a physical therapist.

Assistance with ambulation, including safe transfer techniques and ambulation
-
Assistance with transfers if client is able to bear weight on lower extremities.

Toileting
-
Companionship.

Recognize and report emergencies and demonstrate emergency procedures appropriately.

Adhere to basic infection control procedures in the nursing environment.

Observation, documentation, and reporting on mental and functional ability changes.

Adhere to the policies and procedures of the business with the highest practical standards

Participate in and maintain current on all training and education required by the company

Communicate effectively with all members of the staff and business partners

Provide feedback to others for continuous quality improvement of the entire organization

Openly accept feedback from others for the continuous quality improvement of the entire organization

Escalate issues when there is appearance that business standards of quality are not present

Comply with all rules and regulations of the organization, including HIPAA and safety

Education and Experience: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Required:

Certified Nursing Assistant Experience or 10 hours hands on training (can be from previous employer)

High School diploma or equivalent
-
May require the employee to drive on company business. Employee must have a valid driver’s license and meet organization’s driving requirements

Proficiency with cellular phones and ability to learn company systems, including web based payroll system Preferred:

Ability to work night and weekend hours as well as to be on call
-
1-3 years’ work experience in service industry
