We are seeking Substitute Food Service Workers for our Cafeteria Department.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATONS:
There are no minimum qualifications necessary for this position.
TYPICAL WORK ACTIVITES (ILLUSTRATIVE ONLY)
- Assists the cook in the preparation of the daily menu;
- Helps to prepare vegetables and meats;
- Sets tables with necessary dishes and silver;
- Serves food from steam tables in a cafeteria style dining room;
- Replenishes supply of sugar, salt and pepper in appropriate containers;
- Washes and dries dishes if necessary and assists in cleaning all kitchen equipment;
- Cleans tables and chairs, serving tables and other equipment;
- May serve as a cashier when necessary.
Note: All employees hired must have electronic fingerprint clearance through the NYS Education Department prior to employment. A required fee of $102.50 must be paid by debit or credit card to the New York State Education Department.
