About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Electrical Maintenance Technician to ensure the optimal functionality and safety of our facility's electrical systems. In this role, you'll apply your expertise in electrical systems, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance to keep our operations running smoothly. Your proficiency in PLC systems and electrical schematics will be essential for success.
Responsibilities
- Lead electrical maintenance activities, ensuring adherence to safety and regulatory standards.
- Diagnose and repair complex electrical issues in relay systems, drives, and communication devices, minimizing downtime.
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules to optimize equipment performance and longevity.
- Oversee the work of junior electricians, providing guidance and training to enhance their skills.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, material usage, and equipment performance.
- Troubleshoot and adjust 4-20 mA signals, probes, and laser sensors to ensure accurate readings.
- Collaborate with engineering to supervise basic PLC programming and implement system improvements.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED equivalent.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in industrial electrical repair or equivalent education/experience.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently.
- Ability to distinguish colors for performing essential job duties.
- Advanced computer and math skills.
- Forklift license.
- Experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with 120/208/240/480 Voltage Systems.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
