Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Civil Engineering Designer to join our innovative engineering team. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing comprehensive civil infrastructure designs, managing project workflows, and ensuring technical excellence across various projects. Your expertise will support the planning, design, and execution of infrastructure systems, including stormwater management, water treatment, and pipeline projects. Responsibilities
- Develop detailed civil design schematics using CAD software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, and Revit to produce accurate plans, profiles, and layouts for infrastructure projects.
- Perform hydrological modeling and hydrologic analysis using tools like SWMM, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, and Hydrologic modeling software to evaluate stormwater systems and water flow.
- Manage project scheduling to ensure timely delivery of design phases while coordinating with construction management teams during permitting and construction phases.
- Generate technical engineering reports that clearly communicate design concepts, analysis results, and project recommendations for clients and regulatory agencies.
- Conduct land surveying activities and support permitting phase involvement by preparing necessary documentation for local authorities.
- Oversee construction inspection activities to verify compliance with design specifications and quality standards during project execution.
- Utilize GIS platforms such as ArcGIS and GIS data management tools for spatial analysis related to civil infrastructure projects.
- Assist in construction estimating by evaluating project scope, materials, labor costs, and resource requirements to support bid proposals.
- Collaborate with team members on schematics development for stormwater systems, pipelines, and civil infrastructure components.
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding project progress, technical details, and potential challenges to foster strong professional relationships.
Skills
- Minimum of 5 years experience as a Civil Engineering Design
- Proficiency in CAD software including AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, Revit, and CAD platforms for detailed design work.
- Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles with experience in civil infrastructure projects such as pipelines, stormwater management systems, water treatment facilities, and land surveying.
- Experience with hydrological modeling tools like SWMM, HEC-RAS (Hydrologic Engineering Centers), HEC-HMS (Hydrologic Modeling System), and hydrologic analysis techniques.
- Skilled in project scheduling tools and techniques to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining quality standards.
- Ability to generate clear technical writing including reports, schematics, permits documentation, and engineering analyses.
- Familiarity with GIS platforms such as ArcGIS for spatial data analysis related to civil projects.
- Knowledge of construction management practices including construction inspection procedures and managing projects during the permitting phase.
- Strong communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration; capable of managing client expectations effectively.
- Technical proficiency in stormwater systems design, hydrologic/hydraulic analysis tools like HEC-RAS/HEC-HMS/WaterCAD; experience with Water Treatment processes is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams on complex projects while maintaining attention to detail in technical deliverables.

Pay: $62,400.00 - $93,600.00 per year
