Apprentice Technician Job Summary
Air Compressor Engineering in Clifton Park, NY is seeking an Apprentice Technician that we can train to trouble shoot, repair and maintain air compressors, air dryers and all related equipment. Training will be factory, shop, and classroom while on the job with experienced and master technicians. The right candidate will have a safety mindset and continually exhibit that safety is their number one priority.
Our ideal applicant is a fairly recent graduate from a technical school in the HVAC, Automotive, electrical or related trade and is skilled in AC/DC Circuits, Wiring Diagrams/Schematics, Motors/Control, Starters, or Programmable Logics Controllers and the use of the tools.
Apprentice Technician Duties and Responsibilities
· Observe, learn, and understand a wide range of technical skills and processes while under the instruction of skilled technicians.
· Demonstrate these skills and processes as your training period progresses.
· Increase overall contributions as time progresses.
- Maintain and ensure good housekeeping (leaving work site clean and safe).
· Must be able to use good judgement and have a constant safety mindset.
· Keeping safety as your number one priority every day by following the company’s safety policies and procedures as well as the customers at all times.
Apprentice Technician Requirements and Qualifications
· Degree, Certificate or Diploma in fields mentioned above would be a plus.
· Mechanical aptitude.
· Physical strength and stamina.
· Team-oriented personality.
· Excellent communication skills.
· Computer literate.
· Customer focused problem solver.
· Valid driver’s license and good driver’s record.
· EPA Universal Certified

Our normal business hours are 7:30 am – 4:30 pm. The starting hourly pay rate is dependent on education and experience.

Pay: $19.00 - $28.00 per hour
