Assisting Hands is seeking a FEMALE Certified Home Health Aide to aid a female, elderly individual who has Dementia and Osteoporosis. The CHHA must be experienced, compassionate, dependable, possess a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and have excellent interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities
Assistance with transfers into her chair / stair lift / tub chair and wheelchair.
Assistance with light household duties, support with dressing, and help with changing and incontinence care.
Attention to detail, especially when adhering to specific protocols and rules when caring for the client
Ensure clients feel safe and comfortable when assisting with ADLs
Assist client in making progress on their outcome and goals for the specified service as defined in their Plan of Care
Advocate for client at all times for patient rights and ensure their dignity and privacy are respected
Ensure the safety and well-being of the client at all times
Report any changes in client condition or situations to supervisor and family/guardian

Requirements
Successfully complete a Homemaker-Home Health aide training course approved by the NJ Board of Nursing
Be at least 18 years of age
Possess a valid and current NJ Board of Nursing certification Homemaker-Home Health Aide certification
Pass federal and state criminal background checks
Must be supervised by a Registered Nurse
Must be detail-oriented and able to follow protocols and rules regarding the client's care
Must adhere to instructions from the Director of Nursing and what is detailed in a Plan of Care
Must possess strong physical stamina to safely perform tasks such as lifting, transferring, or repositioning clients.
Must be trustworthy and reliable
Must possess good interpersonal skills, compassion and be sensitive to the client's mental, emotional, and physical needs
