Spire is a full-service debt collection agency representing major financial institutions and investor groups nationwide. We are currently hiring motivated for an open Collections/Account Resolution Specialist.
What You’ll Do & What We're Looking For:
This is a phone job. You'll be calling people about money they owe, and sometimes those conversations are quick and easy, often they're not. People get stressed about money. Some of them will take that stress out on you, and you'll need to stay professional anyway.
The people who do best here aren't the most aggressive or the most polished. They're steady. They don't take it personally when a stranger has a bad day at them. They can listen carefully, and can follow a process when it matters.
We hire for temperament over experience. Most of our best people came from retail, restaurants, customer service, hospitality, or the military; anyone who's spent time dealing with the public under pressure usually has most of what we need. We'll teach you the rest.
